Day One in England:

Day one in England is technically day two too! The time difference between here and the 901 is six hours, so when our flight landed in London, it was 7 am. We took a coach from the airport to the University of Kent, and after months of anticipation and a quick nap, we were ready to explore Canterbury!
Let me just say—this city is adorable. Walking into Canterbury felt like stepping into a postcard. Cobblestone streets wound their way through rows of colorful buildings, each with its own charm. Seeing Canterbury Cathedral in person was jaw-dropping; the architecture is so detailed and impressive. We wandered down the High Street, which was full of shops and cafés. There were so many bookstores throughout town! My classmates even found a few photography books that are fitting for our group! It was the perfect way to soak in the energy of the city.
By the time we made it back to campus, we were all pretty wiped out but feeling good about how much we had seen, done, and spent for our first time in town. This trip has been months in the making, and it’s exciting to finally be here experiencing it all.
